Maryland facility marks a decade of clinical care, expanded access to treatment, and community impact in Cecil County
EARLEVILLE, Md. — Oct. 7, 2026 – Recovery Centers of America (RCA) at Bracebridge Hall is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of delivering evidence-based treatment and compassionate care to individuals and families impacted by addiction.
Opened on Oct. 5, 2016, RCA at Bracebridge Hall was one of RCA’s first facilities and its first in Maryland. RCA transformed the property’s 31,000-square-foot Georgian mansion, once a private estate and later a corporate retreat for executives, through a multi-million-dollar renovation. Set on a private, 560-acre estate along the Sassafras River, about 90 minutes from both Baltimore and Philadelphia, the facility offered medically monitored detoxification and residential treatment from the start.
The center originally opened with 39 beds, and later, an addition added 84 beds, bringing total capacity to 123 and enabling the facility to serve significantly more individuals in need. In February 2022, the center launched an onsite outpatient program offering partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and general outpatient care. Its hybrid in-person and telehealth model extended care beyond the roughly 30-minute radius the rural campus had primarily served, allowing patients to live at home while continuing to work or attend school.
“For the past 10 years, RCA at Bracebridge Hall has been a place for individuals and families to find hope, healing, and a path forward,” said Blythe Maynard, CEO of Recovery Centers of America at Bracebridge Hall. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while continuing to expand access to treatment for the communities we serve.”
Maynard brings more than 15 years of addiction treatment experience to the role and has been with the RCA organization since 2017. Over the course of her career with RCA, she has served in several leadership positions, including clinical supervisor, quality assurance strategist, regional quality assurance strategist, director of admissions, and interim CEO, before being named CEO of the Earleville, MD facility in 2023.
Throughout its history, RCA at Bracebridge Hall has focused on removing barriers to treatment by implementing patient-centered policies that expand access to care. The facility provides priority admission for pregnant patients. Its FastTrack protocol admits patients arriving from emergency rooms or hospital care without waiting for extra medical paperwork. The facility also prescribes and manages medications for addiction treatment on site, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, when clinically appropriate. It also offers WorkFlex programming, which gives professionals and students up to three hours a day of phone and laptop access for essential work or school tasks, and accommodates emotional support animals on a case-by-case basis.
RCA at Bracebridge Hall is also home to RESCU (Resilience, Empowerment, Safety, and Care for our Uniformed Heroes), RCA’s specialized treatment program for active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families. The program features a dedicated boarding unit, daily physical training, peer connection with fellow service members, and trauma-focused therapies, including Seeking Safety and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). The facility accepts TRICARE, helping eligible service members, veterans, and their families access specialized care.
As the center enters its second decade, leadership remains focused on expanding access to treatment, strengthening community partnerships, and continuing to evolve programs to meet the needs of patients and families across Maryland, Delaware, and the surrounding region. That commitment to expanding access has already extended beyond Maryland, with the opening of an outpatient facility in Newark, Delaware, in December 2025, further expanding access to care for individuals and families throughout the region.
