Addiction is a chronic disease, and like other chronic illnesses, it doesn’t improve without intervention. Maybe you’ve tried to stop substance use on your own, and it hasn’t worked. Maybe you recently completed a residential program, and you need additional structure. Or maybe the idea of stepping away from your job, your family, and other responsibilities has kept you from recovery.
Getting help doesn’t mean putting your life on hold. Located just west of Washington DC in northern Virginia, RCA’s outpatient services in Fairfax are designed to help you achieve and maintain sobriety while balancing work, school, and family obligations. Take part in our evidence-based, nationally recognized outpatient programs in a compassionate, convenient setting, and still be home for dinner.

Outpatient Programs Built Around Your Life
RCA Outpatient Services in Fairfax offers in-person PHP
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
The highest level of outpatient care.
PHP is best for those who need substantial daily support but do not require overnight residential care. PHP is five days per week, for 5-6 hours per day, and includes group therapy, individual therapy, and medication management and psychiatric support when needed. PHP is often the next best step immediately following detox or inpatient residential treatment but can also be a successful first step in the recovery journey.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
MAT uses FDA-approved medications combined with counseling and behavioral therapies. At RCA, MAT is used safely as part of a personalized treatment plan—never as a one-size-fits-all solution. We will help you decide if MAT is right for you, depending on your substance use history, medical needs, and recovery goals.
