Sober Happy Hours, Coming To A Town Near You

Head into a city near you and you’ll be greeted with tons of fun events, from boozy book clubs to paint and sip classes. Problem is, if you aren’t drinking alcohol, can you still enjoy these events? Are there even events like this that don’t include alcohol? Edible Philly editor Joy Manning and general manager of Milk & Honey Market Annie Baum-Stein are working to change that with Sober Ladies Happy Hours.

“Some people who don’t drink alcohol don’t want to hang out in bars, but we do,” says Manning, who stopped drinking in January 2017. “I like the experience of putting on lipstick and meeting up with girlfriends at a trendy place and feeling like we’re taking part in the food and drink scene here.”

As more and more people search for ‘mocktails,’ there’s no doubt these sober happy hours will be popping up in towns all over.
