On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Recovery Centers of America Chief Science Officer, Dr. Deni Carise, joined Ask The Messengers, a Detroit-based television show helping to save lives from the disease of addiction through education.
The topic of this episode was addiction and recovery within the LGBTQIA+ community. Dr. Carise pointed out how RCA honors Pride Month by celebrating all members of its staff, patients and alumni who identify as members of these communities. She also highlighted the RCA facilities which have a specialized inpatient treatment program, Acceptance, designed specifically for patients within the LGBTQIA+ community.
