Earlier this week, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed “Charlie’s Law,” requiring pharmacists to provide both oral and written information on proper medical disposal, as well as safe disposal methods.
“This has been a major cause of opioid abuse,” Carise said about unused medications kept in people’s homes.
