At Recovery Centers of America, we believe in treating the entire person: mind, body, and soul. The vast majority of people with Substance Use Disorder have also experienced some type of trauma in their lives. Drugs and alcohol are often used as a means of self-medication and can have devastating effects. Therefore, in order to truly live a meaningful life in recovery, it is essential that past trauma be uncovered and resolved.
The Trauma and Substance Use Disorder training at Danvers will help clinicians strengthen their skills in providing trauma-informed treatment to their patients. Our goal is to increase understanding of the effects of trauma and substance use on the brain and explore methods to uncover root issues so proper healing can begin.
Please join us on October 26th from 9AM – 12PM for this valuable training session. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP to [email protected] no later than 10/23 as space is limited. We look forward to seeing you there!
