A new outpatient program designed to support adults seeking stabilization, structure, and compassionate mental health care
Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a national leader in addiction and mental health treatment, announced today the launch of primary mental health treatment at RCA Outpatient Services in Worcester. This expansion marks the next step in the center’s growth since opening in June 2026.
The new program offers outpatient treatment for adults 18 and older with primary mental health disorders who do not require co-occurring substance use treatment. Patients can enroll in an Extended Day Treatment program, which runs five days a week, or a more flexible Day Treatment Program, which runs three days a week with morning and evening sessions. Hybrid and virtual options are available.
Programming addresses conditions such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and trauma through individual and group therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Psychiatric evaluations and family education and coaching are also available. The outpatient model lets patients get structured clinical care while keeping up with work, school, and family.
“People are looking for mental health care that fits into their lives,” said Amanda Pitts, CEO of RCA at Westminster and RCA Outpatient Services in Worcester. “We built this center to meet people where they are. We’re giving them a dedicated place to get that care, close to home.”
With the addition of the new mental health program, RCA Outpatient Services in Worcester now offers care for substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and primary mental health disorders under one roof. The center continues to provide Extended Day Treatment, Day Treatment, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), family support services, and a robust aftercare and alumni program.
The expansion builds on RCA’s presence in Massachusetts, which includes its Danvers and Westminster facilities.
