This webinar will focus how substance use affects the brain, and fundamentally changes our neural processes. We will discuss the disease model of addiction, explore the physiology of substance use, and understand the impact of addiction on the brain.  We will further explore how recovery can help the brain heal, the management of post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS), and of treatment in restoring the brain’s healthy functions.
