Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse Celebrates 10 Years of Transforming Lives Through Addiction Treatment

Flagship facility marks a decade of clinical innovation, expanded access to care, and community impact in Atlantic County

MAYS LANDING, N.J. – March 9, 2026 – Recovery Centers of America (RCA) at Lighthouse is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of delivering evidence-based addiction treatment and compassionate care to individuals and families impacted by Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

Opened March 8th, 2016, RCA at Lighthouse was the first Recovery Centers of America facility, laying the foundation for the organization’s national expansion and commitment to providing a full continuum of addiction treatment services. From the start, the facility offered both inpatient and outpatient care, reflecting RCA’s integrated model designed to support patients through every stage of recovery.

Over the past decade, RCA at Lighthouse has evolved to meet the growing and increasingly complex needs of patients seeking treatment. The center originally opened with 20 detox beds and 33 residential beds. A major expansion in November 2018 increased capacity to 133 beds, enabling the facility to serve significantly more individuals in need. Today, the center is licensed for 35 detox beds and 98 residential beds.

“For the past 10 years, RCA at Lighthouse has been a place for individuals and families to find hope, healing, and a path forward,” said Rebecca Baillie, CEO of Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse. “As RCA’s first facility, Lighthouse holds a special place in our organization’s history. I am incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while continuing to expand access to treatment for the communities we serve.”

Baillie brings more than two decades of nursing experience to the role and has been with the RCA organization since 2017. Over the course of her career with RCA, she has served in several leadership positions, including registered nurse, corporate compliance and nursing manager, and director of nursing, before being named CEO of the Lighthouse facility in 2025.

Throughout its history, RCA at Lighthouse has focused on removing barriers to treatment by implementing patient-centered policies that expand access to care. The facility accepts pregnant patients with provider approval, accommodates individuals with higher-acuity medical and psychiatric needs, and provides guest dosing for patients receiving methadone through partner clinics. It also offers WorkFlex programming, which allows professionals and students to continue to work remotely while receiving treatment, and permits vaccinated emotional support pets on campus.

Beyond clinical care, RCA at Lighthouse has built a strong culture among staff and alumni. Employee engagement initiatives led by the H.E.A.L. Committee (Honoring Employees at Lighthouse) focus on recognition, celebration, and connection across the organization. Several employees who joined the facility when it first opened remain part of the team today, reflecting the dedication and stability of the workforce.

The center’s impact extends beyond its campus through numerous alumni and community initiatives. RCA at Lighthouse staff and alumni regularly participate in outreach programs, overdose awareness events, and charitable efforts across Atlantic County. These initiatives include distributing life-saving naloxone through national “Save a Life Day” events, hosting sober community gatherings, and supporting local families through seasonal donation drives and volunteer programs.

RCA at Lighthouse has also earned national and regional recognition for its commitment to clinical excellence. The facility was named to Newsweek’s “America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers” list in 2025 and has received multiple “Best of the Press, Atlantic City” awards.

As the center enters its second decade, leadership remains focused on expanding access to treatment, strengthening community partnerships, and continuing to evolve programs to meet the needs of patients and families across the region.

To commemorate the milestone, Recovery Centers of America will host a 10th anniversary celebration at RCA at Lighthouse on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will bring together alumni, community partners, clinicians, and local leaders to reflect on the center’s impact over the past decade. Highlights of the celebration include:

  • Ceremonial ribbon cutting commemorating 10 years of impact
  • Remarks from Rebecca “Becky” Baillie, CEO of Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse
