RCA FastTrack Inpatient Protocol
FastTrack Inpatient Protocol
If the patient has been in the emergency department, hospital, or urgent care for less than 12 hours and has no major medical concerns during our phone assessment, we can swiftly proceed to scheduling an Inpatient SUD admission without the need for prior medical approval or clinicals.
- We ask that the patient bring discharge paperwork and any other documentation or evaluations completed with them upon admission to the site, as well as any needed medications.
- If a patient has been in the hospital/ED OVER 12 hours OR a concern is uncovered in our phone assessment, we will have our nursing teams coordinate obtaining necessary information to resolve through clinical review, keeping the patient’s safety first! Once we receive nursing approval, we will schedule a bed-to-bed transfer for the patient to our facility. We also ask patients to bring discharge paperwork in hand and any medications they are discharged with.
This program is currently at all Inpatient sites EXCEPT St. Charles and limited hospitals at Monroeville.
