The Relationship Between Mental Health & Addiction
The National Institute on Drug Abuse found that nearly 40% of individuals who experience substance use disorder also have a mental illness. The intersection between substance use disorder and mental illness is commonly referred to as a co-occurring disorder. RCA utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities to address co-occurring disorders with an integrated treatment process involving coordinating substance abuse and mental health interventions, rather than treating each disorder separately without consideration for the other.
In this webinar, we will talk about the importance of treating both disorders simultaneously, and how to support a loved one during this process of healing. All are welcome, regardless of your affiliation to Recovery Centers of America.
