On the first Tuesday of every month, Tara Rivera, treatment advisor for Recovery Centers of America, representing our Massachusetts facilities RCA at Danvers and RCA at Westminster, co-hosts the Recovery Centers of America Radio Hour on Boston’s WKPZ the K-Zone 105.3FM and 1280AM.
This episode featured Ashley Davis, Quality Insurance Specialist at Recovery Centers of America. As someone in long-term recovery, Davis described the various ways she communicates with people reaching out to RCA for help, emphasizing the need to greet every caller “with empathy, hearing them out and letting them know we can help immediately.”
The core of the conversation focused on the theme of “sober summer”, including vacationing while in recovery. Among many other fascinating insights gleaned from her experience, Davis relayed the importance of a recovery community as a way to have fun with others without the use of drugs and alcohol.
