An educational group for parents of children impacted by addiction

The disease of addiction brings chaos into the household, and recovery must always remain a focus, one day at a time.

As a parent, you want to protect your child from the realities of addiction, but the reality is everyone is impacted by it and are at an increased risk for mental illness.

Whether you’re currently working towards or are in recovery, Recovery Centers of America’s Parenting In Recovery Educational Group provides the skills and tools to answer the question: What am I supposed to tell my kids about my addiction?

Our master’s level therapists, coaches, educators, and supportive peers will help you and your family navigate recovery together.

In this four-week, online educational group, you will learn how to:

  • Create new traditions based off of old ones
  • Speak to your child(ren) about you or your loved one’s addiction or recovery
  • Hold honest conversations about what addiction (and recovery) is and what it means to them and the rest of the family
  • Create a safe, supportive space where your child will be heard
  • Talk about the absence of a family member during the holidays
