Continuing Education Event – The Ethics of Wellbeing – webinar – 11/13/2020
This training will provide education on the application of ethical standards in relation to wellbeing, both in the context of the individual practitioner and within the context of organizational functioning.
Objectives: Participants will be able to:
– Identify linkage between professional ethics and wellbeing
– Identify ways in which organizations can ethically support a culture of wellbeing
– Explore the dimensions of self-care and implications for ethical practice
– Explore compassion fatigue as risk factors for compromised ethical decision-making
Recovery Centers of America has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7002. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Recovery Centers of America is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. This course qualifies for 3 credit hours.
Dr. Kerry King is a Clinical Psychologist with two decades of experience in working with individuals, families and organizations. As a private consultant she has provided subject matter expertise and behavioral health consultation to schools, global and domestic civil service entities, as well as a variety of stakeholders within the education and behavioral health industries. Her consulting work has spanned the Eastern United States and many islands of the Caribbean.
Dr. King specializes in the treatment of persons with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, adolescent development and change management in the implementation of clinical best practices. During her career, Dr. King has held a variety of clinical and leadership roles and has directed residential and ambulatory behavioral health agencies in the Eastern United States. She is a well-regarded workshop presenter on topics related to clinical care, adolescent development and trauma-informed treatment. Dr. King is specially trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
