Admitting that you’re struggling, deciding to leave behind your life of addiction, and committing to a new way of living is no easy feat. At Recovery Centers of America, we want to make taking that first step as straightforward as possible. When you call to connect with our admissions department, you can learn more about our pathways to recovery. We offer pathways to treatment for those seeking help in their journey toward recovery. Whether you’ve been in addiction treatment before, are entering treatment for the first time, or are struggling with a co-occurring disorder, we have a pathway that can meet your needs and help guide you toward lasting recovery. You can determine your pathway by talking with our admissions department.

Entering addiction treatment at Recovery Centers of America can start with a simple phone call to 1-800-RECOVERY, and we invite you to learn more about our pathways to recovery below.

What Are Pathways to Recovery?

Pathways are the RCA approach to addiction treatment that emphasizes individualized care and therapy as part of the RCA Care Model. Our staff assess each patient individually to determine their unique needs and history with addiction and create a treatment plan personalized to their individual needs. This approach allows us to treat the root cause of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders alongside any other medical or behavioral issues a patient may have. We understand that a one-size-fits-all approach to addiction treatment does not cater to individual needs.

The RCA Difference:

  • Foundations of Recovery Pathway – Designed for patients new to recovery
  • Fresh Start Pathway – Designed for patients who have previously been in treatment
  • Balance Pathway – Designed for patients living with both a substance use disorder and a mental or physical health condition

Foundations of Recovery: A Bedrock for the First Time Patient

The Foundations of Recovery program at RCA is tailored to those who are new to the journey of sobriety. We recognize that the first strides taken during recovery can be the most challenging. This pathway begins with a strong focus on identifying and addressing the underlying sources of addiction. It involves extensive education on the nature of addiction and the mental and emotional aspects that come with it.

Patients begin to build a toolkit for long-term recovery and learn valuable coping strategies that can help them manage triggers and stressors in a healthy way. Patients also participate in support groups and discover a network of support that can offer camaraderie and encouragement as they navigate their new lives free from addiction.

Fresh Start: A Reawakening for Returning Patients

For individuals who have experienced relapse, Fresh Start provides an opportunity to reassess and adjust their approach to recovery. This program is designed to understand the unique triggers and challenges that led to the relapse and to work on building more resilience against these pressures. It includes a focus on developing a strong personal recovery plan and incorporating family and friends into the support network.

Fresh Start participants also engage in innovative therapies and activities that reconnect them with their inherent abilities and interests, igniting a renewed passion for recovery. Psychiatric services are also available as needed. By reassessing and refining their approach, patients can create a solid foundation for recovery.

Balance Pathway: Managing Co-Occurring Disorders

Many individuals struggling with substance use disorder also experience co-occurring medical conditions. At RCA, we understand the complex relationship between addiction and conditions like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and physical health conditions like chronic pain or illness. The Balance Pathway is specifically designed to address both substance use and mental health disorders simultaneously.

This integrated approach involves specialized therapies and medical interventions that are tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs. Clinicians in this program are trained to address both addiction and co-occurring conditions. This comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive the support and treatment necessary to manage both conditions and reach a place of lasting recovery.
