You didn’t choose to have this disease.

You didn’t choose to go down this path.

You didn’t choose to let this disease consume you.

But today, you chose treatment.

You’ve taken the first step.

You’re fighting back.

You aren’t letting your addiction steal your purpose.

You’ve got Recovery Centers of America on your side.

Thank you for choosing RCA. We’re grateful to help you through your journey. Please know that we are here for you every step of the way, starting now.

How long can I expect to be in treatment?

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), good outcomes are contingent on adequate treatment length. We want you to beat this disease with dignity and provide you with the tools to be successful in your journey to sustained, meaningful recovery. The key to breaking through and entering a life of recovery is developing a sense of community, team, belonging, and attachment to healthy relationships. Our approach takes time yet supports the recovery process and promotes giving back. You’ll work with your treatment team to develop a comprehensive plan, but you can expect your initial commitment in treatment to be 30-40 days.

We know the next couple of hours are intimidating, but trust that you’ve made the right decision. Here’s what you can expect over the next few days as you begin your inpatient treatment at Recovery Centers of America at Westminster:

We’re happy to provide:

  • 1 long sleeve or short sleeve shirt and 1 pair of pajama pants during your check-in process
  • Towels
  • Bed linens
  • Blankets
  • Pillows
  • Back-up toiletries
  • Stamps and envelopes
  • Composition book and pens
  • 1 AA Book (NA book available upon request)
  • 1 12-Step Workbook
  • Board games
  • Flat screen televisions and alarm clock in each room
  • Laundry services (at no additional cost)
  • Razors

Centering period

We want you to focus on one thing during your time at RCA Westminster: Your recovery. While you’re here with us, our treatment will help you re-center – and the best way to do this is without outside distractions like cell phones. The invaluable tools and lessons you’ll learn and participate in here at RCA Westminster need your full attention to reach recovery. With this in mind, you can make calls on an RCA office phone with a staff member; but your cell phone will remain in a secure place until you leave our facility.

How will my loved ones know I’m safe?

If a loved one drops you off at Westminster, a member of our staff will talk to them about visitation and phone calls. Otherwise, with your consent, an Admissions Coordinator will reach out to your loved ones within 24 hours to let them know you have arrived safely at our Westminster facility. The Coordinator will also explain the family visitation schedule, education options, and family therapy. Within 72 hours of your admission, and again with your consent, your assigned Primary Therapist will reach out to your loved ones and give them an update on your progress.

Visitation schedule & family program

Family is an important part of treatment. You need a strong, stable support system during this time. The visitation schedule for family, friends, and loved ones is every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday:

  • Orientation: 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
  • Education: 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
  • Visitation: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Phone policy

Once you’ve transitioned out of detox and into residential, you and your therapist will review your list of approved callers. From here, you can sign up for phone times daily.

Alumni program

Our support doesn’t stop once you’ve left our inpatient facility – we’re here for your entire journey. Our robust Alumni program offers an entire community of support to help you stay in meaningful recovery. After all, staying connected with alumni activities will keep your motivated and hopeful in your recovery.

Thank you for choosing RCA to help you on your journey to recovery. We hope you also inspire others who need help to ask for it, just like you have. If you can, leave us a review here. Your review could help someone seeking treatment finally decide to accept help.
