Whether you are transitioning from our inpatient treatment program or coming directly to our outpatient treatment program without experiencing our inpatient care, we provide a seamless process to help you find the treatment that best fits your needs. Our flexible schedule offers you the ability to focus on your recovery while also supporting your outside obligations. We know every day of your recovery is earned, and we will help you make the most of how you spend yours.
RCA’s outpatient program is an integral component of our full comprehensive continuum of care. It includes:
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – This program is offered during the day, Monday through Friday, 5 hours per day. This level of care provides intense structure and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Many patients attend PHP upon completion of inpatient hospitalization.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – This program is offered during the day and evening, 3 hours/ per day, 3-5 times per week. This schedule allows patients to work on their recovery, and maintain other important work, family, and other commitments. Many patients attend IOP upon completion of PHP.
- General Outpatient Services – This program is available to patients who progress through RCA’s continuum of care. In order to maintain long-term recovery, many patients are recommended to continue outpatient treatment upon completion of IOP. In general outpatient care, group, individual, and family therapy, and medication management, is available to maintain changes in Recovery!

We conveniently offer Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and General outpatient services. Depending on the location, treatment may be available in-person, online via HIPAA compliant web and video conferencing, or a combination of both, and includes:
- Group counseling
- Individual counseling
- Family services
- Addiction seminars and education
- Support through RCA’s Alumni Association
- Wellness activities
Counseling sessions can be conducted either virtually or in-person (see more below). Topics vary and may include:
- Assessment of mental and physical health symptoms
- Establishing a daily routine to support and sustain recovery
- Identifying and treating co-occurring disorders and/or trauma
- Developing strategies to reduce relapse risk
- Learning how to manage cravings
- Building supportive relationships

Medication can be an important tool in managing withdrawal symptoms and maintaining sobriety. This may include medications to address mental health disorders as well as medications used to treat addiction, known as Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT). Many RCA Outpatient locations also offer Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). We offer multiple routes of MOUD to specifically treat opioid use disorder, based on individual’s needs and preferences.
