What is your favorite quote and why?

“We are not supposed to be the light at the end of the tunnel, but rather the lantern that lights the way.”

I will never forget when a previous client shared this quote with me. It serves as a powerful reminder that I gain more knowledge from those I help, which surpasses what I could ever teach them myself.

What do you enjoy the most about the work you do?

Every day, I get to bear witness to living miracles in the form of our alumni – individuals who walk, talk, and breathe with a newfound light and purpose. Watching the spark reignite in their eyes is a beautiful experience.

What do you hope to accomplish as an Alumni Coordinator?

My goal as an Alumni Coordinator is to actively combat the stigma surrounding addiction and shift perceptions that living sober is anything but dull – it’s exciting, vibrant, and full of possibilities!

Becky Baillie

Becky Baillie

Director of Nursing at Bracebridge Hall

Becky Baillie, MBA, MSN, RN, has been a licensed registered nurse for twenty years and joined the RCA team in 2017. Becky has a proven ability to transform, deliver, and improve performance objectives and quality of care. She has been privileged to practice in multiple healthcare settings, including telemetry, CCICU, and home health. While practicing in the hospital, she identified that alcohol and illicit drug use precipitated many comorbid chronic diseases and recognized her passion for treating individuals with substance use disorder. Becky then transitioned to substance use disorder treatment in 2015 to provide the population we serve and their families an opportunity to live meaningful lives through recovery. Her primary goal is zero harm!

Craig Farrell

Craig Farrell

Interventionist

After spending many years in the Commercial Finance world as a Sales Manager and Financial Analyst, Craig found himself in many family addiction battles.

After a family member nearly passed and his mom, dad and brothers found their relationships strained, finding a new life became paramount.  Achieving personal recovery 8 years prior, he struggled to help those closest with Family addiction issues.

He chose to pursue a second career in the Recovery Field.

5 years ago, Craig felt led to a position in Peer Recovery and wanted to utilize his pain to help others. After serving in both the Homeless and Community peer populations he was assigned to the Hospital Emergency Room and Mental Health Wards in Anne Arundel County to help those experiencing overdoses and Substance Use Disorders. It is here where he found a new purpose to help those struggling to overcome both their addictions and find a way to recovery.

Craig is excited to join RCA as the Mid Atlantic Interventionist so he can help those find recovery before the visits to Emergency rooms and Mental health wards begin.
