Does insurance cover outpatient rehab?

Home Insurance Options Does insurance cover outpatient rehab?

Payment shouldn’t be a barrier to addiction treatment

If you’re ready to enroll in an outpatient rehab program, here’s what you should know about the cost of treatment and insurance.

RCA outpatient treatment programs are in-network with most major insurance providers. You will receive insurance coverage or proper financial guidance to cover the cost of your addiction treatment. At RCA we work with you to eliminate the stress and burden associated with financial assistance for rehab.

Whether your insurance is in-network or out-of-network, there are 3 potential areas you may be financially responsible for: a co-pay, a deductible, and/or co-insurance. All of these depend on the insurance you chose when you signed up for your insurance; they are unique to each person. Here’s a quick breakdown of each:

  • A copay is a fixed amount for a service covered by your insurance
  • A deductible is how much you will have to pay before your insurance will pay any expenses
  • Coinsurance is the percentage of costs you pay after your deductible is met

At Recovery Centers of America, our Admissions Department Treatment Advisors will verify your insurance and tell you an estimated patient financial responsibility and how much your co-pay,   deductible, and/or co-insurance might be if you seek treatment at one of our facilities.

What if my insurance is out-of-network?

If RCA doesn’t contract with your insurance carrier, we’ll work with your out-of-network benefits to ensure you still get what you need from your insurance plan. Based on the benefits you receive and what each of our facilities can offer, we may recommend a particular RCA facility to maximize your insurance benefits.

If you’re still worried about affording treatment, RCA offers flexible payment plans to help you pay the difference in your cost of care. Based on your needs, our team will negotiate a payment plan with you before treatment begins. You can adjust your payment plan with FinPay during your addiction treatment program as your needs and progress change. And remember, FinPay payment plans have no interest costs or prepayment penalties.

Cover rehab with a flexible payment plan

Before you begin treatment, RCA will provide financial counseling to make sure you know and understand all your expected costs and insurance benefits up front.

If you aren’t able to afford your deductible, or you’re paying for treatment out of pocket, RCA Treatment Advisors will get you in touch with FinPay, our third-party payment plan provider. The FinPay Payment Specialists, who are located within our Admissions Department, will help you figure out a payment plan that works for you.

FinPay’s mission is to provide patients with a helpful, simple financial experience when entering treatment. Together, RCA and FinPay have one simple goal: Provide education, transparency, and payment options that make patient bills affordable. FinPay offers an interest-free plan and payment is convenient—you can pay through their online portal or set up easy automatic payments.
