Speaker Series: Scott Hunter – Author ‘And the Monkey Lets Go’

Scott Hunter has a truly inspirational story. After spending nearly twenty years addicted to drugs and alcohol, he discovered himself and recovery within several 12-step fellowships. Having had some time in recovery, Scott found a passion in ultrarunning – running in several competitions and races including the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, multiple 100-Mile Endurance Runs, and The Race Across the Sky.

Most recently, Scott worked with Mascot Books to publish his memoir entitled ‘And the Monkey Lets Go.’ His memoir is an incredible story of recovery, spiritual enlightenment, achievement, determination, and serendipity. With 35 years of sobriety in 12-step fellowships, Scott will join us on February 26 to share how he came to discover the events of his life that lead to his addiction and how he pulled himself out of the depths of that addiction to live an accomplished life in recovery.

We will be raffling off 5 signed copies of Scott’s book, ‘And the Monkey Lets Go’ at the end of the session.

All are welcome whether you’re an RCA alumnus or not!
