Speaker Series: Connie McMillan – Sober Queen

Connie McMillan is a woman who exudes strength and courage. At a young age, she was diagnosed with a learning disability that changed the trajectory of her life forever. As she grew older and watched the plans she had laid out for her future, crumble, she turned to alcohol. Her alcohol and substance use became a 15-year long struggle that came to a sudden halt when she became the victim of gun violence – her rock bottom. Alone in Brooklyn, New York with two bullet wounds, Connie realized she needed help.

With that realization, she turned to God, praying for a miracle to end her suffering. She began to put down the bottle and start picking up the Bible, and it was through that process that she found her strength. She became a college graduate with honors and started a successful business in her sobriety. Now Connie spends time coaching other sober women through recovery, sharing the possibility of joy and success with other ladies who are struggling, helping them understand “You are not pain, you are purpose.”

Connie has also keynoted several events such as SHE RECOVERS and the 4th Annual NYS Recovery Conference under her brand, Sober Queen Connie LLC. Additionally, Connie has written a book entitled ‘Alcohol Fiend to Sobriety Queen’ which details her 25 tips to put down the bottle.

Ladies, please join us on Friday March 12th at 8PM ET to hear Connie’s keynote presentation which will detail more of her story and how has helped so many other women find the joy and happiness she has found in sobriety. Additionally, we will be giving away 10 signed copies of Connie’s book during this can’t-miss event!
