Recovery Centers of America at Devon Names Robert “Bobby” Bunyon Chief Executive Officer

Bunyon, formerly Interim CEO of Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse, will assume the new role on June 3

[King of Prussia, PA – June 4, 2024] – Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a healthcare network of substance use disorder treatment facilities in the East, Midwest and South, today announced the appointment of Robert “Bobby” Bunyon as chief executive officer of its Devon location. Bunyon was formerly interim CEO of RCA at Lighthouse in Mays Landing, New Jersey, and has held various leadership positions within the company over the last six years including interim CEO at RCA at Capital Region, corporate vice president of strategic growth, and CEO at RCA at Bracebridge Hall.

In this new role, Bunyon will be responsible for the operational oversite of RCA’s Devon site including building and growing their team of healthcare professionals and developing and executing a strategy for continued growth. Additionally, Bunyon will work closely with RCA’s mission center, business development, and marketing teams to ensure Devon remains Pennsylvania’s leading in-network treatment provider. He will report to Mark Puckett, chief operating officer.

“We’re honored to welcome Bobby into this new role and have him serve as the chief executive officer of a facility he holds near to his heart,” said Brett Cohen, Chief Executive Officer at RCA. “He’s been a trailblazer in the addiction field for over a decade and we know that his firsthand experience – paired with his strong leadership skills – will continue being an asset to RCA and our mission to save one million lives.”

Prior to joining RCA in 2018, Bunyon worked at an East Coast provider of substance use disorder and mental health services, holding multiple positions including therapist, treatment tech supervisor, administrator and administrative director. Bunyon received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from the University of Phoenix.

“While the opportunities across the RCA network have been amazing, I have always had a desire to return home to Chester County,” said Bobby Bunyon. “Joining the Devon team is a once in a lifetime chance to impact the community that I was born in, struggled with addiction in, and ultimately got sober in. I am incredibly humbled and excited to take on the role of CEO at this life-saving facility.”
